As a young member, that is anyone aged 30 or under, we would like you to have an active role in the way UNISON is run especially at local level. Solihull Branch has not got a Young Members Officer and we would love to have one in order for there to be a voice for younger workers.

We know that younger workers are more likely to be in lower paid jobs, casual work and have a mountain to climb when it comes to debt, high rents and the almost impossible task of buying your own property.

The public services need young workers within it so that is has a future. As a younger worker, you also need to know that you have a future in public services.

Please help us ensure that any inequalities young people face can be removed and create a workplace that makes you feel valued and respected.

You will have access to training from UNISON and we will enable you to have time to carry out the role.
