We have all seen the terrible sight of children being deliberately starved due to the blockade of all food and water in Gaza by Israel. David Lammy, the foreign secretary has acknowledged the suffering but the UK government still refuses to stop all arms shipments to Israel and the Royal Air Force (RAF) is still carrying out surveillance flights over Gaza.

Those with the power and ability to stop the killing and destruction must take active action to do so. Anything else are just empty words. In the UK, there is the political will to take away essential benefits for people with disabilities and the winter fuel allowance for our elders but not to stop the daily killing of men, women and children in Gaza and West Bank.

We as a branch continue to support Palestine Solidarity Campaign. We ask that you write to your MP using the PSC easy to use form.

History will judge those who continue to justify the slaughter including our politicians and media.
