It was an interesting experience, visiting this historic mill in Birmingham..  Although the mill no longer produces flour, it’s a glimpse into a forgotten world of millstones and mill ponds,

in a beautiful setting, with its links to JRR Tolkien’s childhood. Well worth a visit, followed by lunch at the Robin Hood Carvery in Hall Green.  A very enjoyable day out! UNISON Retired Members Chris , Peter , June and Carole at Sarehole Mill on 24.7.2026.
