In July 2025, we bid farewell to our long-serving Branch Secretary, David Williams, who retired after 13 dedicated years in the role. During his tenure, David provided  support to thousands of members and attended many meetings on behalf of those members.

David informed the Branch Executive Committee last year of his intention to retire at the end of July 2025 to spend more time with his wife, enjoy days out, and cherished time with their grandchildren.

To mark his retirement, the Branch Executive organized an afternoon tea, giving colleagues  the opportunity to express their appreciation and say goodbye. Later that evening, branch representatives gathered at David’s favourite restaurant in Solihull to celebrate his many contributions and extend their best wishes for his retirement.
